EFFIMEL is a lighting brand and online retailer. We do not manufacture and we do not operate any production facility. We specify the pieces we sell, buy them from independent manufacturers who build them to those specifications, and resell them direct to customers in the United States.

Any other company, brand or product name mentioned on this site is the property of its respective owner. Where such a name appears, it is used for identification or comparison only and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

4. Product images, finishes and color

We photograph the pieces we sell and describe them as accurately as we can, but no screen reproduces a real finish exactly. Monitor calibration, screen technology, browser color handling and the light in your own room all shift how a brass, bronze, blackened iron, nickel, alabaster or smoked glass finish appears.

Our pieces are also made and finished by hand. Small variations in tone, patina, glass clarity, seeding, grain and casting texture are inherent to the materials and are a characteristic of the work, not a defect. Living finishes are intended to develop a patina over time.

If the exact tone matters — you are matching existing hardware, or specifying across a scheme — ask us for a physical finish swatch before you order. We can send swatches for most metals, and we can produce matched sets from a single finish batch.

Some illustrations on our site are drawn placeholders shown while product photography is being produced. These are labeled as such where they appear. Styled room images are for scale and atmosphere; only the fixture itself is supplied.

5. Electrical installation

Our fixtures are wired for 110–120V and are UL or ETL listed where applicable, with damp-rated options identified in the specifications for each piece. They are hardwired products.

Installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician, in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any local codes and permitting requirements. Fixtures over 50 lbs cannot be supported by a standard outlet box alone and require bracing above the ceiling; the weight of each piece is listed in its specifications and should be shared with your electrician before installation day.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EFFIMEL accepts no liability for property damage, fire, electrical fault, injury or loss arising from installation performed by anyone other than a licensed electrician, from installation that does not follow the supplied instructions or applicable code, from unsuitable ceiling support, or from use of a fixture in an environment it is not rated for. Damage from improper installation is also excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.

6. Specifications and changes

We reserve the right to improve a design, substitute a component of equivalent or better quality, revise a specification or discontinue a product at any time without notice. Where such a change would materially affect an order already placed, we contact you before shipping. Dimensions, weights and finish descriptions are given as accurately as we can and are subject to normal manufacturing tolerance.
