Made to your drawing, built to order
Because we write the specification for everything we sell, a change to it is something we place directly with the workshop — not a request that has to travel up a supply chain.
A stair void that needs a 96-inch drop. A dining room that wants the Boule silhouette in blackened brass. A hotel that needs forty matching sconces, damp-rated, from the same finish batch. These are ordinary requests when a piece is made to order, and impossible ones when it is picked off a catalogue page.
What we can change
Size & proportion
Diameter, length, height and tier count. We scale the drawing properly rather than stretching it, so the proportions still read correctly at the new size.
Metal & finish
Brass, bronze, blackened iron, nickel, antiqued and brushed variations. Matching an existing finish in your home is possible — send a photo or a sample.
Glass & shade
Clear, smoke, amber, fluted, hammered, seeded or alabaster. Fabric and vellum shades in your size and cloth. Different glass changes the light as much as the look.
Light source & controls
Socket count and type, integrated LED or lamped, colour temperature, lumen output, dimming protocol, and 220–240V builds for projects outside North America.
Mounting & drop
Chain, rod or cord; extended drops for stairwells and double-height rooms; sloped-ceiling canopies; damp ratings for bathrooms and covered outdoor.
Sets & multiples
Matched families across a whole property — chandelier, pendants and sconces in one finish batch, built in a single run so nothing arrives a shade off.
Honest expectations
Custom pieces are drawn, quoted and built individually, so they take longer than a stock order and are generally not returnable once production starts. We confirm the exact lead time, price and any minimum quantity in writing with your quote — before anything is made.
How it works
Tell us the room
Send dimensions, ceiling height, the fixture you like, and photos if you have them. A rough sketch on paper is completely fine — so is a screenshot of something you saw elsewhere.
We come back with options
Usually two or three directions with sizes, finishes and an indicative price, plus our honest opinion on what will actually look right in that space.
Drawing & quote
Once a direction is chosen we issue a dimensioned drawing and a firm quote covering price, lead time, electrical specification and shipping.
Sample or approval
For finishes we can send a physical swatch. For larger projects a single sample piece can be made for sign-off before the full run begins.
Build, inspect, ship
Your piece is built, wired and tested at the workshop, inspected against the drawing, then crated for its size and shipped with tracking. Duties and U.S. shipping are included.
We work with
Homeowners
One piece, made to fit an awkward ceiling, a heirloom finish, or a room that never quite found the right fixture.
Interior designers
Spec-level control, drawings for your documentation, and finish matching across a scheme. Trade terms available.
Hospitality
Restaurants, hotels and lobbies needing volume, consistency, damp ratings and a fixture that survives commercial hours.
Developers
Multi-unit and show-home packages where the same fixture has to be delivered dozens of times, identically, on schedule.
Common questions
Is there a minimum order?
Not for a single made-to-measure piece — we regularly commission one-offs for private homes. A minimum may apply where new tooling has to be made, or for an entirely new design, and we will tell you clearly in the quote if that is the case.
Can you match a fixture I already own?
Often, yes. Send photographs, measurements and a close-up of the finish. We will tell you honestly whether we can match it, get close to it, or not do it justice.
Do custom pieces carry the lifetime warranty?
Yes. A custom piece is covered against manufacturing defects for life on the same terms as everything else we sell. See Lifetime Warranty.
Can you build for 220–240V or non-U.S. projects?
Yes. Voltage, plug type and certification requirements are part of the specification we write, so 220–240V builds and non-U.S. certification are routine to arrange with our partner workshops. They are confirmed at the quote stage.
Do you take trade and hospitality accounts?
Yes. Tell us it is a project enquiry and include the scope. We can supply dimensioned drawings for your documentation, match finishes across a scheme, have matched sets built from one finish batch, and hold delivery to your programme.
Tell us what the room needs
Send the dimensions and a reference image. We will come back with options, a drawing and a firm price — no obligation, and no charge for the drawing.
